I am very happy with my new Kitchen Aid toaster. Not only does it look good but delivers a good service. You can brown the toast to your liking on a scale of 1-7. It also does bagels and toasted sandwiches. What more could you ask for!!

We eat a lot of toast in our house and I am very fussy about the bread we use and wether it is the correct shade of brown when toasted. I have to say that this toaster toasts the bread to perfection. the outside is crunchy yet the inside is still soft and fluffy. The only reason i have not given 5 stars is that one still has to flip the toast half way through to ensure it is evenly toasted on both sides.

Bought this as have had a previous kitchen aid toaster which worked for years very well.
This one is terrible as it doesn't toast evenly at all. One side is OK and the other burnt.

In Empire red this toaster looks fantastic, it is sturdy and smart too. The Bagel setting produces excellent crisp and sift bagels, the stay hot feature is great and it makes really good toast. The toast reminds me of Aga toast, so it is quite slow but properly toasted. I would recommend without hesitation, sometimes we're worth it!

We are now on our 2nd toaster and will be returning it yet again to JL. The one key function to toast bread fails. It cooks one side perfectly and the other burnt or if you adjust the setting undercooked either way you cannot win to achieve your toast cooked the same both sides. The second toasters paintwork is equally not good and for a high end product this is very poor from quality control!
The design is stunning but its function as a toaster is poor. Looks like we are back to the drawing board, may consider the Greaf

Bought kettle & toaster. Both very stylish with good features. nice quality feel too
Unfortunately now on 3rd toaster because although it evenly toasts on each side the 2 sides do not match because the outside element does not heat to the same level as the centre. All 3 the same. 2 also had scuffed paintwork on rounded surface
Expensive so should be perfect but will keep because I like it so much
One odd thing is that both items have a 'pinger' but it is too quiet to be of use

An excellent toaster. A very well made quality product that looks the part but more importantly it makes good toast with an all over even toasting, consistently . It has a line of small indicator lights that extinguish as the toasting process progresses to give a visual countdown . When the toast is done it emits a pleasing note and the toast gracefully rises. It is expensive which is the only reason I don't give it 5 stars

This toaster looks good, works well and satisfies even the most demanding gadget devotee. The construction is robust and the toaster exudes quality. I particularly like the "stay warm function", where, if the toast is not removed promptly, it is automatically lowered again and kept warm for several more minutes. The retro design will suit most modern kitchens and there is a great range of colours to suit any decor.
