The Tefal GC713D40 OptiGrill + removes the guess work from grilling ? with patent-pending technology, this intelligent grill detects exactly how many items are on the grill and adapts the temperature and grilling cycle to match. Through a unique colour changing LED and audible alert at each stage of the cooking cycle, the OptiGrill + shows the progress of each cut of meat, ensuring you know exactly when meat is rare, medium or well-done. For maximum versatility, this Tefal grill features 6 automatic cooking programmes and a manual mode with 4 temperature settings, and makes washing up a breeze with its removable dishwasher safe plates and drip tray.
Meat is cooked to your personal preference each time, whether rare, medium or well-done ? removing any worries about over or under-cooking. The OptiGrill + holds the moisture in for juicy and tender meat, even when well-done. Achieve mouth-watering meals without having to constantly open the grill to check on your food. The LED Cooking Level Indicator has a colour-changing display to show the level of cooking in progress, from rare to well done. If the light on the Cooking Level Indicator is yellow, this means your steak will be rare. As the Cooking Level Indicator changes colour to orange, your steak will be medium. When the light turns red your meat will be well-done. With its unique and ingenious Automatic Sensor Cooking capabilities, the OptiGrill +modifies how it cooks according to how thick the meat is and how many portions you're preparing.
The OptiGrill + features six automatic programmes to ensure each meal is cooked to perfection. Cooking temperature and cycles are adapted according to what you're preparing. Choose from Burger, Chicken, Bacon, Sausage, Red Meat and Fish modes. Forgot to take your meat out of the freezer? Not to worry - with a Defrost function the OptiGrill + allows you to cook food from frozen. With 4 different temperature settings, the Manual function gives you complete control and allows you to grill your vegetables, sandwiches or even delicious paninis to your tastes. When the cooking period has ended the OptiGrill + will automatically turn on the keep warm setting to ensure your food doesn't become cold.
The removable cooking plates feature a non-stick coating which helps you remove food easily, and along with the extra large juice tray are dishwasher-safe, making washing up a breeze. Following extensive product testing, Tefal engineers found that a 7 degree angle inclination of the grill plates ensures ideal fat drainage whilst ensuring that the juices and moisture are maintained within the meat for consistently succulent results.
The Tefal OptiGrill + features extra large 600cm2 cooking plates for up to four pieces of steak. The design is contemporary in style with a brushed stainless steel finish and features a strong heavy-duty handle.

Using a unique automatic sensor, Tefal's OptiGrill+ automatically measures the thickness of each cut of meat, adjusting the cooking time to suit every time. The sensor technology even detects how many items are on the grill, adapting the temperature and grilling time accordingly.
Using a colour-changing light display, you can see exactly how everything is cooking so you know when your meal is done. The OptiGrill+ will beep when the light changes at each stage â yellow when your steak is rare, orange for medium and red when it's well-done.
