Mono or Stereo
Short for Monaural or Stereophonic Sound. In simple terms Mono:- a single point of sound, or Stereo:- 2 speakers a distance apart mimicking live sound, giving an impression of the direction that the sound came from. |

Pause Live Radio
The ability to pause a live radio broadcast, providing an option to return a little later and listen from the paused position. Very useful if you receive a telephone call or need to answer the door. |

Radio Presets
Sometimes called Memory presets, this is a facility to store your favourite radio stations into a memory, which can be recalled at the touch of a button. Saves on all that 'fiddly re-tuning' to hear something good. |

Customer Reviews
I bought this product for my elderly mother as a Christmas gift. She enjoys listening when she is in bed, she says the quality of sound is excellent and its compact nature very easy for her to handle. It has made a 95 year old very happy.

Negatives: The main issue is the battery life 4 or 5 hours - completely unrealistic/expensive. The second issue is the DAB signal particularly moving around outdoors is very fussy. These combine to make this device useless to me.
Positives: The exterior and buttons are well styled, and there is no silly/unnecessary clock which work even when the radio is off.

received this as a gift..lovely little radio and well designed, light and portable. However, it is not very practical when Duracell batteries only last about 3-4 hours. Very dissappointed, because I wont be able to use it on a regular basis.
There are cheaper models on the market that give much longer battery life.

As described in the product literature.
I now have a portable DAB which I can easily connect to my (old but not to be replaced) hifi via the “tape in” connection (via a 3.5mm to twin phone lead).
Better still: I now have a DAB facility in my car at minimal cost (via a 2m 3.5mm to 3.5mm lead) without having to rip the current radio out & stick a horrid antenna to the screen.
Both connections work well and (to my ears at least) the sound quality is excellent.
And …. at last BBC5 live sports broadcasts and Radio 6 wherever I am!

This radio has a good sound and is easy once you've mastered the control button. However.......is it only me? I have been getting only about 10 hours from long-life batteries. It's costing me a fortune! I think I'll revert to the 994 Sport FM model which uses smaller batteries and these last a good four times longer. Shame!

I bought this radio because I did not want to miss any of the World cup matches so if I was not home I could listen to its radio broadcast.
I wanted to buy a Roberts because I wanted to have a good quality radio with DAB/FM. I also wanted to be with replaceable batteries and not those pocket radios with internal batteries. So I got what I wanted with this very cute radio. I just love it. It is so easy with its memory buttons, and easy to turn it on and off. Very practical with its lock function. I think I will buy another one if Roberts make it in black. The only bad thing is that in the back of the radio the printings has started to fade because of the friction with my clothing.

I bought this last Friday to replace one that came out of the Ark,a different make and model but I imagine my old one which was given as a present in the '80s,was top of the range then. How things have changed! So lightand easy to put in your pocket and so many stations to choose from. I wanted something that I could carry quite easily while walking our dog. I used it on Saturday and now when going to bed I can listen to it without disturbing my husband while he is asleep. With the clock on the front as well it helps me keep track of time while walking. For the price and style and reception this is a winner. Only one little gripe, could do with a strap or belt clip but as everybody seems to manage with their pods and phones without them it's not a problem really! Well done Roberts.
