De'Longhi KG79 Coffee Grinder in Black

Customer Reviews

Review There are some silly comments here. This grinder is perfect for Espresso! If you put it onto the finest setting, then it will be too fine for your maker. You can tell that because the coffee only comes out as one or two drips per minute! So start grinding on just slightly finer than the midpoint, make 3 or 4 coffees, then try finer until you get the "too fine, slow drip" problem. Then make it a tiny bit coarser so it works at best possible grind. If you find it doesn't grind fine or the grind is irregular, then you haven't pushed the top coffee burr down firmly into the right place. I had that problem, but it was very easy to fix. Enjoy!!!

Review This is neat little machine and has a burr grinder. BUT the grind is not very even and it really does not go fine enough for espresso. I wish I had believed the other reviewers.

Review Grinds coffee perfectly and machine is not as noisy as I expected- I would recommend this devise.

Review Bought this machine to grind for espresso machine, returned it a few days later. It looks good, grinds OK but not fine enough for an espresso machine.

Review The machine is slim, neat, sturdy and has some nice features, such as the soft click-in-to-place of the bean hopper lid and draw and automatic stop after the specified amount of beans have been ground. It is well built and looks really neat in the kitchen. With all this said, we used it with our Gaggia Cubika espresso machine, and although it ground the beans evenly, they weren't ground fine enough to produce a perfect espresso. We exchanged it for the Dualit 75015 model, which has been fantastic. I really loved the look of this grinder, and I'm sure it would be perfect for filter coffee or french press or as a cheap first grinder, but unfortunately, it didn't produce a fine enough grind (on the finest setting) for a good espresso.
