The 8 Rods allow the LitePad Loop Sled to be positioned further away from the camera. This is helpful for longer lenses or cameras. This is the substitute for the standard Litepad Loop 2 L-Bracket and adds 2 inches of distance between Loop and camera than the standard setup.
